Oxbow Guide Service LLC focuses attention on the oxbow lakes along the Mississippi River from West Memphis, AR to Lake Village, AR for spectacular crappie fishing. Crappie fishing along the Mississippi River is one of the most overlooked fisheries in the United States. In the early part of each year our focus will be on beautiful Horseshoe Lake in Crittenden County, AR where we will use a variety of tactics to catch crappie. According to the water levels in the Mississippi River, we will adjust our fishing to keep clients on the best possible chance to catch crappie. If you have never fished one of these beautiful bottomland oxbows, you will be pleasantly surprised at the natural beauty, variety of fish and the size of the crappie. Come enjoy a day in the beautiful outdoors of Arkansas!
Fishing is primarily done from an up to date fiberglass boat that is fully equipped with the latest technology in electronics to help put you on fish. Tactics will vary from spider rigging, long line trolling, pulling crank baits to single pole jigging. You will pick up tips on techniques that are used or if you want to book a day to go out and completely learn a technique from the boat ramp to catching fish, we can do that as well.
Your guide has 50 years of fishing experience for crappie and has spent most of that time along the Mississippi River.
We also offer a limited number of green timber duck hunts each year (approximately 10-12 days). These go fast! If you are interested in duck hunting in Arkansas' green timber, email us and we will get you set up.
